"The Stiebel Eltron DHC-E 8/10 electric tankless water heater is designed to be placed near a sink for instantaneous hot water at the point of use. Advantages include a TEMPERATURE DIAL, endless hot water, reduced electricity costs and substantial space savings. THE DHC-E 8/10 can be field switchable from 7.2 KW or 9.6 kw at installation. The 7.2 kw DHC-E 8/10 provides a 50 degree temperature rise at a 1 GPM flow rate and a 60 degree temperature rise at .75 GPM flow rate. The 9.6 kw DHC-E 8/10 provides a 32 degree temperature rise at a 2 GPM flow rate and a 64 degree temperature rise at 1 GPM flow rate. The DHC-E series are not designed for showers. The DHC-E 8/10 runs on 208-240 volts AC and has a current draw of 30 or 40 amps (depending on voltage applied and desired kw). The unit requires a minimum of a 100 amp panel and requires 1 x 50 amp breaker. Stiebel Eltron part number is DHC-E 8/10.
